Now on to my project....


I decided to make a card for my parents for Day 2.

My parents were Sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple a long time ago :)  So I was so happy when Provo Craft came out with a religion cartridge that has a lot of LDS (Latter Day Saints (Mormons) ) sayings and images. As well as other religions. It will be great to use this cartridge for all sorts of church things and activities.

In our church ( The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) ) when you are married or Sealed  in the Temple you are married for Eternity, not just here on Earth. That is why I added the phrase "Families Are Forever"

Here is my very simple but beautiful project:

Now on to my project!

I am really loving the way my project turned out. I was originally going to just make a card using the "Royal Couple" digi stamp ( this stamp can be found at Pixie Dust Studios)http://www.pixieduststudio.net/category_43/British-Invasion.htm, but then decided to do something different with it.  My daughter Rebecca  who is 9 years old and I have been watching TLC all week long for their "Royal Wedding Week " , of course she was in bed while I stayed up to watch the Royal Wedding take place. My daughter Emma was awake for most of it as she is 1 years old and decided she needed to be awake at that time :)

I wanted to make a book that my daughters could add to over the years. I remember watching a bunch of shows like "Friends" and other shows were the girl has a big wedding book of how she wants her wedding to be like when she does actually get married! :) So I figured I would make one that both my girls could add to.

I decided to use the Royal couple on the front especially since it took place when I was making this book for them. Of course I had colored the image before I watched the wedding so that is why Prince William was colored in with Blue instead of the Red he was wearing for the actual event :) Plus the phrase "Someday My Prince Will Come"  fit perfectly for the image and this book!

I hope they will enjoy adding to it over the years. I added a pocket inside the front and back cover for them to put things in as well.

Ok finally on to my project!


My project today is for one of my good friends Angie! Her birthday is coming up and I wanted to make her a special card. I hope she likes her card as much as I do! I had  a lot of fun thinking of ideas for it! Of course some of the ideas got changed... as I broke my foot today and wasn't able to use the Cricut or the computer for the card. I had to finish my card from the couch! You know that whole needing to stay off my foot thing!!! :)   But I think it turned out great!

 I asked her if she would like one with chocolate (which I know she loves....) or maybe a Twilight card. This was just after I had bought some wonderful Twilight Digi's from the Pixie Dust Studios. Of course I told her if she picked Twilight then it would have to be something with Edward in it... :) Can you tell I am Team Edward! :) So... she said either would be fine..
So I decided to combine two of her favorites Chocolate and Twilight, it's her Birthday soon ..so she is entitled to have both :)

When I heard about this hop I knew I immediately wanted to do something for my mom. She is THE BEST MOM IN THE WORLD!!! She does EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE!!! She always puts everyone first. It is great having my mom live next door. She helps me with my kids and is always there to help NO MATTER WHAT! If something cool happens she is the first one I call! Especially if it is scrapbooking related! She is not at all crafty but she loves all the things I make. :) I was a Daddy's girl growing up but when I got pregnant with my first child we became really close and I love having her right next door. She is the most caring person. She is a very compassionate person and I see a lot of her in my daughter which I am grateful for. She is the Queen of Thank you notes. She sends everyone a thank you note for everything! She even sends the ones for my family in the mail to us even though we live next door. :) She wants to make it that much more special.

MOM, I LOVE YOU!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!!

I recently got the Disney Classics cartridge and wanted to do Thumper as my mom always likes things that are soft and cuddly!!! I picked this image of Thumper because he looked so cute and cuddly and he is SLEEPING!!! My mom ALWAYS falls asleep anywhere...anytime....  :)

Ok now on to my project.

This time I let my kids choose which images they wanted me to use for my project. My daughter chose the one with Bleus and the giant egg  but she decided she wanted to color it herself.  The one for the card I used was chosen by my son. He thought it was really funny. His favorite color is green so he wanted to make sure I colored both of their shirts green.
