Now on to my project....

I like making personalized projects for people, like cards, shirts or other projects. For this project I wanted to make my Secret Santa a charm bracelet. I had a lot of fun making a charm bracelet recently and wanted to put her name on it and add some cute chandeliers all from the Baby Boutique Cartridge for the Imagine. I love being able to print fun projects on the Imagine. So I couldn't show you the whole bracelet because that would give away the surprise of who I have, so I will show you one of the chandeliers and one of the letters of the person's name :)

Here is how to make them. I first picked the images I wanted to use and put them on my mat in the "Cricut Craft Room" I love it! You can do a lot of stuff in the new Cricut Craft Room :) I added some color to one of the charms and layered a chandelier on top. Then I printed and cut them out using Ink Jet Shrinky Dink paper. Then I punched a hole at the top before heating them with my heat gun. (it works better than in the oven) I just hold it now on the corner with tweezers. Then once cooled which happens very quickly... I then coat them with clear nail polish to seal them. Then I add the charms to jump rings and attach them to a chain and add a lobster clasp to the end of the chain. It was so fun to make and it would be easy to add more charms to it later :)

I love sparkles, so please leave a comment below to win 2 bottles of Stickles. You will have until December 10th to enter to win.

Now it feels weird having to wait an entire year for Breaking Dawn to come out!!!! We SO can't wait to see it :)

Kich N Bleus Challenge #8 "Anything Harvest or Thanksgiving"

Hi Everyone!

It is time for another monthly challenge at Kich N Bleus Designs. This month's challenge is "Anything Harvest or Thanksgiving". As usual there is a freebie available on the website for you to use for the challenge if you wish. Be sure and stop by and see all the wonderful creations by the other designers.

The Harvest Mini Collection is available for purchase in the Kich N Bleus Designs Store.

For my project I decided to do a 6x6 box for putting Pumpkin Bars in to give to others. When I think of this time of year I think of Pumpkin Bars. For some reason I will not make them any other time of the year. I just feel weird making them in months other than October and November :) So I better get busy baking or I am going to miss my time window :) I also saw on a blog recently that they made Pumpkin Cake Pops, so I totally want to try to make those this month as well :) Which could also fit well in this box :)

For my project I used the Martha Stewart Scoreboard to make the box, it is 6x6 and is 3 inches high. I used 1 sheet of 12x12 paper to make the top and 1 sheet of 12x12 paper to make the bottom. I also got to use my recently purchased Sizzix Tim Holtz Mini Rosettes die. I love this die set. It makes two different sizes. I first made one of these when I went to the Scrapbook Expo in July. They had these for a make and take at one of the booths and we made the rosette and attached a pin to the back so it could be worn. I have made rosettes since then but did so using the scoreboard...the die is SO MUCH easier... :) I used the smaller rosette for the little ones and put together two of the bigger size for the rosette under the Kich N Bleus digi. I used Tim Holtz Black Soot distress ink for the edges of the sentiment, rosettes and box. That booth also had the distress ink pads to use for the make and take as well so that was my first time using the distress inks as well. I am not usually into "Vintage" but now love the distress inks and other Tim Holtz products!

Supplies:
Kich N Bleus Harvest Mini Collection
Big Kick
Sizzix Tim Holtz Mini Rosettes die
Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink and blender tool
Vintage Coredination Cardstock
White and brown cardstock
Stampin' Up Markers
Copic Marker for skin tone
Hot glue gun and glue
Stampin' Up Sincere Salutations stamp set

Hollywood Stars Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Thank You for joining me today for the Hollywood Stars Blog Hop. I would like to thank Gill for letting me be part of this awesome hop! :)

When I first heard of this hop I was going to do my project on Tori Spelling and highlight some of the TV shows and movies I have seen her in. I like watching her show because her family is so down to Earth and acts like a normal family. :) But I was going through some of my pictures last month and remembered my Senior Trip to California and remembered taking pictures of "Tom Cruise's" star on the "Walk of Fame" and putting my hands on his hand prints at Mann's Chinese Theater. I also bought a picture of him in one of the many gift shops on Hollywood Blvd. so I decided I would do my project on him. :) Of course now he is a little bit weird so I am not as into him as I was back then or when I first discovered him back in 1986 when I first saw "Top Gun".  :)

Here is the layout I made using the pictures from my trip.

Supplies:
White, Blue and glitter cardstock
Red Stickles

50 States Blog Hop! -Washington

Welcome to the 50 States Blog Hop! Most of us would love to travel but are having staycations this year. What better way to travel but through a blog hop. This hop was inspired by our host Shawnee's journey across the United States as she traveled with her family to their new home. The United States is truly beautiful with many wonderful places to visit and see.

If you've hopped along from Montana with Barbara , then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard or happened along from somewhere else, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start with the first state in the union, Delaware, because you won't want to miss out on any of the fun (or any of the blog candy!!)...

There is an AMAZING Grand Prize Package for one LUCKY hopper (winner chosen by Rafflecopter)!!  To be entered to win, please do the following:
So what's the Grand Prize???
Cricut Cartridge - Destinations, beautiful handmade flowers from Shannon at Creative Chaos Flowers, and a $20 Gift Certificate to Scraptastical Kreations.

Now on to my state and my project....

Washington became the 42nd State on November 11, 1889
"The Evergreen State"

State Flower- Coast Rhododendron
State Tree- Western Hemlock
State Bird- Willow Goldfinch

I have lived in Washington since I was a kid. My dad was in the Air Force and moved around a lot when we were little but he and my mom were from Washington so that is where we returned. I wanted to make a plain layout to show the photos better. Of course people always think Washington is always raining... which it's not. :) So I had to add the rain as well.
One thing about Washington is we have all four seasons. Most places they get one or two seasons all year long! Like Texas where my sisters live, it is mostly always HOT! We also have the advantage here of having an Ocean and Mountains near by, as well as a Rain Forrest and the Desert. So we get a little bit of everything which is great! In My Pictures are the Space Needle in Seattle, the Pacific Ocean and Mt. Rainier.

Please leave a comment below to enter to win 2 bottles of Stickles (Green & Yellow) which are represented on our state Flag. You will have until next Friday, September 23rd to enter!

Now you can hop to the NEXT STATE IN THE UNION!! Idaho with Michelle Remember to leave a comment on each state to be eligible for the GRAND PRIZE!!

I chose to do Nevada because it was the first trip my husband and I took together other than our honeymoon which was local anyways. My mother-in-law who always goes to Reno was going to take my husband to Reno for his 21st Birthday as she had done with his sister. Since I was turning 21 four days after him I got to go too! Kich N Bleus Get Well Collection

Hi Everyone!

It's time for a new collection from Kich N Bleus! Stop by to see what the Design Team has created! They are fabulous! You can purchase the "Get Well Collection" in the Kich N Bleus Designs Store.

When I saw the collection this was my absolute favorite image! It is SO ADORABLE!

It reminded me of when I had just started dating my boyfriend(now husband) when we were in High School and he got sick with a cold. My mom that it would be a good idea to bring him some Chicken Noodle Soup. So I brought him over a can that he could use to eat when he felt up to it. So for my project I wanted to decorate a can of Chicken Noodle Soup. I also added some bandaids to the sides with my new stamp from Stampin' Up. It is used to make wraps to go on mini candy bars. So if figured it would fit perfect on address labels. So I inked it stamped them on my labels which worked perfect, then I just stuck them on the can since they already are a sticker :)

Supplies:
Can of soup
white and green cardstock
Get Well Digi Image
Stampin' Up Markers
Black Soot Distress Ink and blending tool
blank address labels
ATG gun

9-11 Tenth Anniversary Remembrance Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the 9-11 Tenth Anniversary Remembrance Blog Hop. I would like to thank Tami the lovely hostess for this hop for allowing me to participate.

If you came from Nicole's Blog then you are in the right place. If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop you can go to Tami's Blog.

Today marks the 10th Anniversary of 9-11-01. I am sure almost all of us remember what we were doing at the exact moment we found out our great Country was under attack.  Remembering  the day brings great sadness to everyone whether or not they knew anyone  who was killed personally or not. I think it left a hole in every ones heart who witnessed the horrific attacks that happened to our nation that day. For once our country bonded as one in the weeks following the attacks. We were all very proud to be Americans. On that day and the weeks following we would all feel each others hurt and try to do all we could for others.

I remember that early Tuesday morning I got a phone call from my mom who had just been called by my sister to let her know what her husband had just saw on the news. My husband and I watched in awe as the news was showing all that was happening on the other side of the country. I of course wondered why they were making us go in to work that day if the world was in such chaos. I remember wondering when and where they would strike again. I knew it could be any day or time and anywhere is our country. I was afraid for weeks not knowing what was going to happen to us. I live about 15 minutes from an Air Force Base and anytime I would hear a plane go by or fly low I was afraid we were next. Luckily as time passed so did the fear. I remember listening to all of the new country songs that came out right after 9-11, and how they held a special place in every ones hearts because they were about what everyone was experiencing. As I thought today of what I wanted to say I listened to those songs just as I had 10 years ago. The one I can relate to the most would be Alan Jackson's "Where were you when the world stopped turning" , just like in the song, I remember donating blood at my work for the Red Cross Blood drive they were holding shortly after 9-11 to help out all the people that were suddenly needing blood. I also remember holding my daughter all the time. If she was asleep in her crib, I would still reach in to hold her so I could cherish what I had. She turned 3 months old the day after the attack. Today while I was watching and listening to the videos I showed her some of the images that happened on that September day. I want to Thank all of the Emergency Workers who day in and day out to do their job to help and protect others and  sadly most of the time it is a thankless job. I would also like to Thank our Military for all they do to keep us and this country safe. My brother is in the Air Force and was deployed shortly after the attacks to serve in the Middle East. I am thankful he was able to come home safe from his deployment during those awful times.
The thing I remember most about the days and weeks after the attacks was that everyone was out of American Flags because everyone was buying anything with an American Flag on it so they could show their pride for this country. I still have a flag decal that I received during that time still posted on our screen door. It has weathered with time as so have we. I am Proud to be an American.

For my project I wanted to make it simple. I was going to use this as a scrapbook page, but I think I will display it in my front window. I got this paper a couple of days ago because I loved the way it looked and decided that it would be perfect to use for my project (Just not fun to try and photograph). I hope everyone will take time to reflect today on what we have been given and to remember all who we lost on that tragic day 10 years ago.

Supplies:
Prismatic and Metallic Paper-Target
Cricut

Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge
Car Decals Cartridge

Please leave any comment below, I will choose one person using Random.org to win some Patriotic Stickles, so you too can show your American Pride. You will have until Wednesday September 14th to enter.

Please join the country in a moment of silence on Sunday morning, at 8:46 (Eastern Time). This should be a time to reflect on what we all lost, as well as on the courage and common purpose that lived and still resides, deep within the American people.
10 of us blogging friends would like you to join in this day of remembrance, by stopping by each blog to see a project made for the tenth anniversary of 9-11.

On to my project...

I wanted to use my Paper Doll cartridges to make this banner. I thought it would be cute to have the little paper dolls dressed up in their Halloween costumes on the banner. I decided to let my kids decide which characters I should do and then made both a boy and girl character for each one they chose. My daughter likes Twilight so she wanted the Vampire one and she is a Magician so she wanted to do that one as well. My son's favorite color is green so he picked out Frankenstein and he thought the Skeleton was cool... so that is how I choose which one's to do. I wanted to use my Punch Around The Page Spider web to decorate the edges and tied all the pieces together with ribbon.

Here are the pictures of the completed banner and up close of each set.

Supplies:
White, Orange, Black Cardstock
Cricut Imagine
Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge
