Kich N Bleus- Going Back to the 1950's Collection

Hi Everyone!

I LOVE this new collection for Kich N Bleus!

It is available to purchase at Kich N Bleus Designs Store!

You can also stop by Kich N Bleus to see all the fabulous projects the other ladies have created!

It was hard to just pick one image to work with, and if I would have had more time lately I would have done more of the images :)
This image reminded me of my dress for Junior Prom, except for my dress was light pink and went off the shoulders. The hair style also reminded me of when my sister-in-law did my hair for a Ball I went to a few years ago. So I will definitely be using these images on some of those scrapbook pages and it is awesome because I can color the image to match my dresses that I wore on those occasions.
I chose to do red on this one because I was actually going to use a different background paper but changed my mine when I was done coloring it because I thought it looked better with this one!

Supplies:
Stampin' Dimensionals- Stampin' Up
Stampin' Up Markers- Stampin' Up
Mocha Morning Specialty Paper-Stampin' Up
Liquid Pearls (White Opal)
ATG gun
White Cardstock

Kich N Bleus- Kich in the 1920's Collection

Hi Everyone,

Kich in the 1920's is the newest collection from Kich N Bleus Designs.  You can buy the collection now in the Kich N Bleus Designs Store.

I think this collection is totally cute and loved working on this image. Kich's fan that she is holding made me want to make small rosettes to go on the card. I wanted to do black and white ones to go with the background and to match her red hot dress ;) They have some good tutorials on YouTube for making rosettes. It only takes a little bit of paper which is awesome! These ones were made with 1/2" strips. I glued two 1/2" x 5" strips together to make it black and white. Then scored it every 1/4" and folded in and out on the score lines. I then glue the ends together to form a circle. Then I cut out a 1" circle and put hot glue on it and pressed the folds together and flat on the hot glue and held it down for a little bit and then added some more glue and added my button to the top.

I had a lot of fun making this adorable card ! :) Please be sure and check out the rest of the Ladies work at http://www.kichnbleusdesigns.com/.

NOW ON TO MY PROJECTS!

I wanted to be sure and have a boy and girl project for each of these 3 days! I have two boys and two girls so I wanted to give you a chance to see both sides :)

For this blog hop I will be focusing on two wonderful ladies! I met both of them almost 2 years ago on the same day. I was one of their Visiting Teachers for church! These two special ladies are Sherrie and Elizabeth. It works out perfect because Sherrie is due with a little boy in November and Elizabeth is due with a little girl NEXT WEEK! I am so thankful that I had the chance to meet them!

So the boy projects I made for Sherrie, and the girl projects I made for Elizabeth!

Thank you ladies for being so AWESOME!

So for my final project I have made a card for Sherrie and Elizabeth. I LOVE this cartridge, it has so many cute baby images for girls and boys. I decided that I wanted to use some cotton balls give to the card a cloud like feeling and look. So I used my two way glue pen and covered the card with it 1/3 of the card at a time and pulled apart some cotton balls and pressed them into the card. Then continued with the other portions of the card. Once the entire card was covered, I went back and pulled most of the cotton off, so I would be left with a thin layer of cotton. I then inked the edges and the cloud cut out using the ink blending tool. For the life of me I could not find any blue ink in my house... so I had to use black for Sherrie's card..sorry Sherrie. I put Stampin' Dimensionals under the die cut so it would sit up higher on the card. I really love the way they turned out! They are so cute! :)

For Sherrie:

For Elizabeth:

Cricut Imagine
Baby Steps Cartridge
White Cardstock
Diamond Stickles
Ink Blending tool
Distress Ink (Ranger)- Worn Lipstick
Black Ink -Close to my Heart
Cotton Balls
Zig two-way pen

I want to thank my wonderful Sister-In-Law for donating one of these kits for my "blog candy" for this hop!!!

You really need to check out her store if you get a chance!!! It is AWESOME!!! She has the most beautiful Digital kits!!! I also LOVE the fact that she sells Quick Pages! I love the Quick pages because the hard work is already done for you! You just opened up the page and drop and your photos and you are all done!!!

Of course for today's projects I didn't use the quick pages, although I would have finished a lot quicker if I had :)

THANKS AGAIN MELISSA!!!

NOW ON TO MY PROJECTS!

So I wanted to do a Digital Scrapbook page for Day 1 of this hop! Usually I just do the quick pages, because half of the time my computer takes FOREVER to process.... when I am making pages.  So I hope you enjoy the two pages I have done, as I rarely complete my own digital pages :) But I do love the fact that you always have the kit to work with and you don't run out of paper :) Plus it is SO EASY to duplicate for Grandparents! I made these pages so that they would fit 2 4x6 photos, so no cropping needed :) I know Costco and Walmart have cheap prices for printing out these 12x12 pages.

I wanted to be sure and have a boy and girl project for each of these 3 days! I have two boys and two girls so I wanted to give you a chance to see both sides :)

I put " Our First Day With You", on the pages so they could put some pictures of the first day they have with their new little baby! It can also be used for a grandparents page for the first time they meet their little grandchild , or for a page when their brothers or sisters get to hold them for the first time. It can also be used for Adoption pages, because a lot of times the adoptive parents don't get a chance to be there at the birth. So I like the phrase " Our First Day With You" so it can be whenever the first meeting takes place!
