Kich N Bleus Challenge #8 "Anything Harvest or Thanksgiving"

Hi Everyone!

It is time for another monthly challenge at Kich N Bleus Designs. This month's challenge is "Anything Harvest or Thanksgiving". As usual there is a freebie available on the website for you to use for the challenge if you wish. Be sure and stop by and see all the wonderful creations by the other designers.

The Harvest Mini Collection is available for purchase in the Kich N Bleus Designs Store.

For my project I decided to do a 6x6 box for putting Pumpkin Bars in to give to others. When I think of this time of year I think of Pumpkin Bars. For some reason I will not make them any other time of the year. I just feel weird making them in months other than October and November :) So I better get busy baking or I am going to miss my time window :) I also saw on a blog recently that they made Pumpkin Cake Pops, so I totally want to try to make those this month as well :) Which could also fit well in this box :)

For my project I used the Martha Stewart Scoreboard to make the box, it is 6x6 and is 3 inches high. I used 1 sheet of 12x12 paper to make the top and 1 sheet of 12x12 paper to make the bottom. I also got to use my recently purchased Sizzix Tim Holtz Mini Rosettes die. I love this die set. It makes two different sizes. I first made one of these when I went to the Scrapbook Expo in July. They had these for a make and take at one of the booths and we made the rosette and attached a pin to the back so it could be worn. I have made rosettes since then but did so using the scoreboard...the die is SO MUCH easier... :) I used the smaller rosette for the little ones and put together two of the bigger size for the rosette under the Kich N Bleus digi. I used Tim Holtz Black Soot distress ink for the edges of the sentiment, rosettes and box. That booth also had the distress ink pads to use for the make and take as well so that was my first time using the distress inks as well. I am not usually into "Vintage" but now love the distress inks and other Tim Holtz products!

I know it's not a traditional Halloween card but I loved the way that her dress looked against this orange flowered background. It is one of the Designer Series papers from Stampin' Up, on the other side is pink so I decided to cut out part of this other cool paper for the flowers, I love all these colors together.

Hollywood Stars Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Thank You for joining me today for the Hollywood Stars Blog Hop. I would like to thank Gill for letting me be part of this awesome hop! :)

If you came from Becky's Blog then you are in the right place! If you want to start at the beginning go Gill's Blog.

Please leave a comment below to enter to wins 2 bottles of Red Stickles. You will have until Friday Oct. 21st to enter to win. One winner will be chosen using random.org.

When I first heard of this hop I was going to do my project on Tori Spelling and highlight some of the TV shows and movies I have seen her in. I like watching her show because her family is so down to Earth and acts like a normal family. :) But I was going through some of my pictures last month and remembered my Senior Trip to California and remembered taking pictures of "Tom Cruise's" star on the "Walk of Fame" and putting my hands on his hand prints at Mann's Chinese Theater. I also bought a picture of him in one of the many gift shops on Hollywood Blvd. so I decided I would do my project on him. :) Of course now he is a little bit weird so I am not as into him as I was back then or when I first discovered him back in 1986 when I first saw "Top Gun".  :)

Here is the layout I made using the pictures from my trip.

Supplies:
White, Blue and glitter cardstock
Red Stickles
Gypsy
Cricut Expression
Life's a Party Cartridge
ATG gun
Scotch Tape

Kich N Bleus Spooky#2 Collection

Hi Everyone!

There are 3 Spooky Collections for Kich N Bleus coming out this month! The first one was release on Friday along with this months challenge. The details on the challenge can be found at Kich N Bleus Designs along with a Freebie that can be used for the Challenge :) You can buy the 1st Spooky Collection at Kich N Bleus Designs Store. You will also be able to buy the Spooky Collection #2 today as well.
Here is what the 1st collection looks like:

I will be posting my project using this collection soon :)

Please be sure and check out Kich N Bleus Designs to see what the rest of the design team has made :)

For my project using Spooky Collection #2 it all came down to the eyes. I of course made the hair black and thought maybe I would try green for the eyes and liked how it look and decided to make her dress to match. I really love the way it came out. I wanted the digi to stand out so I just added a spiderweb border to it. :) Then applied it to my green card.  I finally got my first skin color Copic Marker, I really like the way it looks and it didn't make my printer ink bleed which was great.

Supplies:
Kich N Bleus Spooky Collection #2 Digi
Beige Copic Marker
Stampin' Write Markers-Stampin' Up
Crystal Stickles
Spiderweb Border Punch- Martha Stewart
Green and white cardstock
