Celebrate Freedom Blog Hop July 1-4 (Day 3)

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for joining me for Day 3 of the Celebrate Freedom blog hop!

This will be a four day blog hop with each of the blogs posting a new project everyday from July 1-4.

If you came from Gina's Blog then you are in the right place!
If you want to start from the beginning go to Honeybearz Designs.

There is a great line-up of wonderful designers waiting to show you their beautiful projects over the next four days! The projects will all be for Independence Day and Celebrating Freedom. :) You will have a chance to win some blog candy along the way! Including some Grand Prizes which are being sponsored by Lisa from Honeybearz Designs (She is the first blog on the hop!). In order to be eligible for the Grand Prizes you must leave a comment on every blog in the hop and become followers to all the ladies in the hop also. Lisa from Honeybearz Designs will be picking the grand prize winners from all of the comments left throughout the four days.

I want to thank Lisa for letting me be part of this wonderful hop!

I have a wonderful sponsor for my blog candy for this hop!!!

I will pick one lucky winner on Friday July 8th, using random.org.

Now on to my project!

One of my favorite thing to get as a kid at the 4th of July Festivals was Pop Its! They are classic. What kids don't like Pop Its. We loved using them and always got several boxes of them. For the last several years Fireworks have been banned in our city, except for the ones by the professionals. But at least I can still buy my kids Pop Its. Of course it was kind of weird needing to show my ID at Target in order to purchase them ;) So for my project today I wanted to decorate the Pop Its box.

I wrapped the white cardstock around the box and creased it a little and went back and scored on the creases and then did the same with the blue and red cardstock. With the blue cardstock I ran it through my Texture Boutique to put the stars on it. After I rubbed ink on everything, which I rarely ever do... I cut out a white embossed star and put it on two Stampin' Dimensionals to raise up it higher.
Box before wrapping it, for some reason they are sold as a double box now.
After wrapping and inking it to make it look distressed.

Supplies:
Pop Its
White, blue, and red cardstock
White and black pigment Ink
Bone folder
Texture Boutique
"Stars" Cuttlebug embossing folder
Stampin' Dimensionals-Stampin' Up
ATG gun
Scotch tape
Thanks for stopping by!

I will see you tomorrow for Day 4 the final day of this hop!

  15. What a great idea! I know you miss having them being banned in your area, but I wished they were banned in ours at least till the 4th. All the big booms around here have been spooking my daughter. TFS!
