Now on to my project....
I had originally wanted to do one idea, but yesterday my 6 yr old son asked if I would play his cars with him. I knew I needed to work on my project so I asked him if he wanted to help me use the Cricut to make a project for the hop today. He agreed so I changed my plans on what I was going to do and ask him what he wanted to do. All of my kids have been watching a lot of "Jake & the Never Land Pirates" on the Disney Channel, so he wanted to make pirates. He wanted to make a pirate for each person in our family that lives in our house. So we went and got my "Scrap Bag" and started working on our "Pirate Family" (I save all my scraps and put them in one of my giant Joann's bags). The only regular piece of paper I used was for making the people so that they would all be the same shade of cream.
He even drew his own treasure map and wanted to make sure we had a treasure chest as well. He picked out all the colors for the clothes and what pieces to cut and use.
So here is the "Pirate Family" my sweet little Douglas and I made together! Daddy as "Captain Hook", Mommy as " The Pirate Queen", Rebecca as "Izzy", Douglas as "Jake", Erik as "Cubby", Baby Emma as " The Pirate Princess" and Thumper the Cat as "Skully".
The kids love to act out this show every time it is on, so I am sure they will enjoy having their own paper doll character :)
