I want to thank Ellen for inviting me to be part of this very special hop!!!
It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do for my banner. Then a couple of weeks ago I was looking at stuff online and saw a birth announcement with a Caterpillar on it. I thought it would be cool to do a Caterpillar for this hop since it is a Love Bug Hop. Of course I wanted to incorporate hearts as well :) I wanted to do a banner for a girl and for a boy. So I made two adorable caterpillars :) It was really fun to make and I got input from my sons and daughters, I have 2 of each :) of course my Birthday Girl who turns two today didn't have much input for me :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA :)
I used the Create A Critter Cartridge to make the Caterpillar head, I put it on the bottom of the page on my gypsy so it wouldn't cut out the rest of the body. Then I used George Cartridge for the circle and the tiny rectangles for where the ribbon goes. I used Paper Doll Dress up and Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridges for the legs that I welded to the circle and for the cute shoes :) and of course everything is better with sparkles, so I added some Stickles :) The kids and I couldn't decided which embossed hearts we liked best so we used both :) A heart one and a Dot one.
Here are a few different pictures of both the banners :)
Supplies:
Gypsy
Cricut Expression
Diamond Stickles
Black and White Ribbon
Green, Blue, Black, White,Pink and Purple Cardstock
Heart Shaped Hole Punch
ATG gun
Zig Two way glue
3-In-1 craft glue
Bow- Build a Bear :)
Create A Critter, Paper Doll Dress up, Everyday Paper dolls and George Cartridges

LISA! These two caterpillars are super-adorable! When I saw your first one (lilac and pink), I thought, wow, that will be so sweet over the bed of a little girl who maybe would be squeamish about bugs but loving the colors ... then I saw the boy one and thought WHAT A GREAT IDEA to do two banners, one for each. You can tell you're a Mom of both boys and girls!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMMA!!!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU again for participating in this Hop that means so much to me, and brings smiles to the faces of the special needs kids at Pediatric Specialty Care!
